What is Bronco Giving Day?

Bronco Giving Day is a 36-hour campaign on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in support of Boise State University’s students, colleges, scholarships, athletics, and program for all members of Bronco Nation! Bronco Giving Day 2025 will be Boise State’s seventh annual university-wide day of engagement. With outreach on social media, emails, student activities, and online campaigns, Bronco Nation is invited to engage in the giving day to raise critical funding throughout the university. The purpose of Bronco Giving Day is to ensure we continue to build on our foundation to provide big opportunities for our current and future students.

When does Bronco Giving Day go live?
Bronco Giving Day will be launched and active at 12:00 a.m., MST, on February 26, and will close at noon, MST, on February 27, 2025.

How can I become involved in Bronco Giving Day?
Become involved in Bronco Giving Day by donating and sharing our Giving Day page! Throughout the 36-hour giving campaign, Bronco Giving Day will utilize various social media platforms to engage Bronco Nation to participate and be excited to support Boise State University. Post about your #BroncosGive experience and participate in challenges for chances to win money for a Boise State program of your choice.

Why should I support Bronco Giving Day?

Each individual’s support to Bronco Giving Day pushes the university towards the future. Every donation leaves a lasting impact on not only Boise State University student experiences but also for the colleges and departments on campus. Each college and campus program has designated priority funds that need critical support from Bronco Nation. It is up to you which program, sports team, student organization, or scholarship you want to support. Bronco Giving Day is a celebration and Broncos give back to what they’re passionate about. How do matches and challenges work?

Matches and challenges add a flair of fun and competition to Bronco Giving Day! Challenge gifts have been pledged by generous donors to Boise State University. Each challenge, once the goal is met, will release an additional donation to the university. Goals can be based on gifts received or the amount of dollars raised. Matching gifts are dollar-for-dollar donation matches, up to a certain amount. When you make your gift, our matching donors will make an equal gift. Can my employer match my gift?

Yes! Matching programs increase the impact of an individual’s gift. Look to see if your employer is listed, or visit your human resources department to see if your employer offers a matching gift program. If you need any help with the process, please email foundation@boisestate.edu.
Are there other ways I can give?

Employees of Boise State can set up a payroll deduction gift here . You can make a monthly or one-time gift, the first month’s installment will count toward the Bronco Giving Day total.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, philanthropic contributions to Boise State University are tax-deductible as provided by law. Please consult your tax adviser with questions about whether your gift is tax-deductible. You will receive an email receipt shortly after completing your gift.
